The Pros
  • Sarjapur’s first major pro is the fact that it offers great connectivity to many other important parts of Bangalore. Whether it’s Whitefield, Outer Ring Road or Koramangala, all these destinations can be reached very easily from Sarjapur. Thanks to a number of underpasses and flyovers in the area, the aforementioned locations can be reached within a very short span of time. A house in Sarjapur is perfect for an IT professional as several IT parks and complexes around the city can be accessed from here without much hassle.
  • Infrastructure in terms of educational institutes is pretty decent in this region, with three reputed colleges and institutes making their presence felt here. It is also home to the Infosys Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Tech Park.

The Cons
  •  The very first negative that has to be mentioned about Sarjapur is the traffic congestion witnessed at peak hours. As mentioned before, Sarjapur is a busy area. With so many connections to other parts of Bangalore, traffic can get really messy during rush hour. But the necessary steps to manage traffic have not been taken, which is a tad frustrating.
  • There still is a dearth of infrastructure in the internal areas of the town. While the exterior seems to be flourishing, internal areas are still suffering from lack of decent roads. Water supply is also a major concern.
  • Sarjapur does not feature in the upcoming Metro Railway plans, which is detrimental for its future.
